Aims

To assist school executive with quality leadership through:

  • clarifying role and purpose
  • identifying skills and strengths within the team
  • learning effective problem solving strategies
  • learning effective change management
  • learning effective planning strategies
  • developing effective meeting procedures.

Outcomes

At the conclusion of this program school executive will have:

  • clearly defined roles
  • enhanced collegiality within the executive team
  • used problem solving techniques to address current issues
  • used a change management model to prepare for a desired change
  • drafted an action plan
  • practiced an effective meeting procedure

Format

  • Introductory planning session with School Executive
  • Weekend Residential (eg Friday evening to Sunday lunch time)
  • Four follow up Executive Meetings at school (2 hours)

Time

  • Ongoing over 12 months

  • Residential Venue
  • Plenary space
  • Space for small groups

Comment

  • Preference is for weekends or during school holidays
  • Content will be tailored to the needs of each school executive.
